Yes, preliminary information received from TnCRED and recommendations made by practitioners have resulted in some changes.  Several work teams of practitioners involved in the pilot spent the spring and summer making minor modifications to the model which include:

• Changing one of the placement options for stages to licensure status (as opposed to tenure due to recent tenure law changes in Tennessee)
• Reducing the number of elements from 50 to 35
• Revising forms and related documents
• Adding specialty rubrics (Guidance, Instructional Specialists, School Psychologists, and Library/Media)

The First to the Top Act requires implementation this year.  There is no possibility of delay without legislative action.

No, TIGER was piloted during the 2010-2011 school year.  As a Tennessee approved alternative model of teacher evaluation, this 2011-2012 school year will become our baseline year of implementation.
