Are there changes in the model from the “pilot” year of 2010-2011?

Yes, preliminary information received from TnCRED and recommendations made by practitioners have resulted in some changes.  Several work teams of practitioners involved in the pilot spent the spring and summer making minor modifications to the model which include:

  • Changing one of the placement options for stages to licensure status (as opposed to tenure due to recent tenure law changes in Tennessee)
  • Reducing the number of elements from 50 to 35
  • Revising forms and related documents
  • Adding specialty rubrics (Guidance, Instructional Specialists, School Psychologists, and Library/Media)
